Director of Special Programs - Rachel Fahrig
Rachel D. Fahrig
I arrived at Bartlett Schools from the Texas Education Agency where I worked in the Division of School Improvement. There, I helped school leaders across the state improve systems and student outcomes. Prior to that position, I developed high school science and engineering curricula and provided instructional support at The University of Texas at Austin, Round Rock ISD, the Texas Water Development Board, the Baltimore Zoo, and the Massachusetts Department of Youth Services. I was a secondary science teacher and elementary music teacher, too! I have worked as an educator for over 18 years, in both public and non-traditional settings, where I have supported and led teachers and educational leaders for more than 13 years. In addition to being an educator, I worked in banking trust operations, non-profit development and management, and client services. I graduated with a B.A. from Western Michigan University and earned my M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Texas State University.
I have a 12-year old son, an 8-year old dog (Bailey), an 8-year old cat (Penelope), and a 15(ish)-year old turtle (Turtle). I like gardening, reading, listening to music, and watching baseball and hockey. I'm so excited to be a Bulldog! #WinWeCan #GameOn #BARKCamp2021 #BARK
